Vocational Counselling & Assessment
EASY REFERRAL
A Vocational Assessment is an objective evaluation of an individual's skills, capacity, employment experiences and vocational goals, to inform recommendations about sustainable and suitable job options.
Under some schemes such as NSW WorkCover/ SIRA/ CTP / iCare you can have up to 3 hours of vocational counselling prior to assessment.
For NDIS Participants, the Vocational Assessment helps them & their support group navigate various vocational programs & services available under the NDIS scheme, connecting the participant with relevant employment service providers, vocational training institutions, or job placement agencies.
The Vocational Assessor will evaluate multiple components in relation to capacity, including the education, training, employment and vocational activity history, individual work profile, potential work environment, potential labour market, biopsychosocial and other factors affecting return to work.
Data is collected from varied sources according to the context, purpose and objectives of the assessment and needs of the participant (including interview and observation, reports prepared by other practitioners, assessment tools, occupational literature, worksite and job analysis measurement),
