Martine was Finalist for Citizen of the Year LMCC 2019 for her community advocacy for her radio shows on FM97.3 & New2uw networking listeners with access to various organisations in the locale to connect and upskill the region. Martine was also named Local International Woman of the Year 2019 with radio station 2NUR noting contributions from her book "Body Created: A Womans' Narrative" going to national domestic violence advocacy group "Friends with Dignity" with Rosie Batty OAM. After a recent bout with Breast Cancer, Martine recently swam the Newcastle Harbour in January 2020, raising money for a group she co-founded 20 years ago - Dragons ABreast.
After a subsequent breast cancer diagnosis and further treatment in 2022 including radical mastectomies, Martine again swam The Newcastle Harbour 2023 raising money this time for "Got Your Back Sista".
Martine & her partner have 3 kiddies who love the beach lifestyle of Newcastle & Lake Macquarie NSW. You'll likely see them boating around the sand islands of Lake Macquarie, fishing the local flathead spots & diving the famous maritime wrecks in the region. You might just catch a reptile or 2 if you visit the Lake Macquarie rooms with the whole family involved in reptile rescue. And of course there's Frankie the Beagle/Poodle who is as naughty as he is adorable - Frankie recommends you bring a large bone to your session...

Martine is a Vocational Rehabilitation Expert with over 25 years experience specialising in personal injury as a Treatment and Rehabilitation Provider, in management roles as well as Injury Management Advisor in the worker's compensation & CTP schemes with many years experience with the Australian Defence Force and Personal Income Protection Insurance. Martine particularly enjoys assisting those injured explore new employment opportunities offering dynamic and motivational Vocational Assessment.
For NDIS Self-Managed or Plan-Managed Participants, Martine works with Children and Adults facilitating functional improvement aimed at adjustment, adaption, & building capacity for meaningful community participation.
